Disabled Accessibility

We have made every effort to make this site as accessible as possible for disabled users while trying to maintain this web site and it's contents up-to-date. The web site is designed dynamically to allow updates to be carried out as efficiently as possible and therefore allowing us to provide you with up-to-date information, as well as allowing you to interact with the web site by posting messages in the message board and maintaining your own project mini sites.

We have taken every possible step to assist disability accessability within the web sites design, while maintaining the dynamic creation of its contents, including:

  1. All images used within this web site include an alternative text tag.
  2. The navigation has been designed specifically to assist users by using clearly defined navigation buttons, and using web friendly colours.
  3. Incase users still have problems reading the links against the coloured backgrounds on the navigation buttons there is a site map included with all the links clearly listed against a white background. This can be accessed from within the homepage.
  4. For any users who still encounter problems using this web site we have listed our contact details below so you can contact us to request the required information you are looking for. As this is a html only version most web site reading software will be able to read this page without encountering any problems.
  5. The website has been created using XHTML and CSS so all modern disabled devices such as Screen Readers and Text-to-Speech generators can interpret the content.

Saffron Community Enterprises is a new, emerging Development Trust, working in the Saffron Lane area of South Leicester.

Saffron Community Enterprises is a Community owned and led organisation, looking at new ways to continue to develop the area.

‘Application for membership of the Company may be made by any individual, whose place of residence is in the Saffron Lane Estate, Leicester, in the area whose boundaries are Knighton Lane East, Saffron Lane, the County Boundary to the north of Dorest Avenue, and the Midland Mainline Railway to the east, who supports the objectives of the company.’

Associate membership is also open to anyone who has an interest in the area, even if they don’t live within the estate. The directors are particularly keen to encourage people who live in the associated economic area to the North, West of the estate.
