Our Community
The Saffron community or 'The Saff' as it is known locally, is a community resident in the inter-war outer estate to the east of Saffron Lane in the southern part of the City of Leicester, built in the late 1920's.
It has 2819 households, with a little over 7500 residents. Saffron is a place for families, and older people. Almost 10% of its residents are under 5, 25% are school age children and 15% over 60.
